Spring is in the Air
Ayurvedic Wellness Tips

Can you feel the seasons shifting? The mornings are getting lighter, the air is feeling warmer, the grass is drying out, flowers are blooming and sleepy lizards are sunning themselves on the roads... Winter is loosening its grip and spring is on its way!
In Ayurveda, the transition between seasons is thought of as an important time to gently support the body and mind. Rather than making huge changes, this is a perfect time to lighten, refresh and create a little more space — similar to the energy of spring.
I thought I'd share a few simple Ayurvedic-inspired ways to welcome this fresh season:
🌿 Bring a little more lightness to your meals
As the weather warms, you might naturally find yourself craving lighter, fresher foods. Try adding more cooked greens, seasonal vegetables, fresh herbs, sprouts, broths and lightly spiced meals. You don't need to overhaul your diet — simply begin moving away from the heavier, richer foods that felt nourishing through winter (many of us do this naturally as the weather warms up after winter).
☀️ Get outside with the morning light
Spring is a beautiful invitation to reconnect with nature. Try stepping outside for a few minutes in the morning — even with your cup of tea or coffee — and let your body experience the changing light and fresh air.
💧 Stay hydrated
As temperatures rise gently, our body need a little more hydration. Keep water nearby throughout the day and experiment with adding fresh mint, lemon, cucumber or herbs if plain water feels a little boring.
🧘♀️ Let your movement become a little more energising
Winter often calls us inward and toward slower practices. As spring arrives, you might naturally feel drawn to a little more movement. Think gentle flowing yoga, walking, dancing, sun salutations or simply spending more time outdoors — without turning movement into another thing you have to achieve.
🌸 Make space for a little spring cleaning — inside and out
Ayurveda isn't only about food. Spring can also be a beautiful time to look at what feels heavy, stagnant or unnecessary in your life. Maybe it's a cupboard you've been meaning to clear, a commitment that no longer feels right, or simply some mental clutter you've been carrying around. Ask yourself:
What am I ready to release?
What would I like to make space for?
If you'd like a little more Ayurvedic support...
I've created a Spring Yoga & Ayurveda Bundle to help you gently transition into the new season, with simple Ayurvedic practices, recipes and ideas, as well as recorded yoga and meditation practices you can weave into everyday life.
And if you're feeling called to a deeper seasonal reset, my 1-3 Day Kitchari Cleanse Bundle is also available — designed to make a gentle kitchari cleanse feel simple, nourishing and supported, rather than restrictive.
Both are there if they feel useful — there's absolutely no need to do everything 🌿
Sometimes the most nourishing thing we can do is simply slow down enough to notice what our body is asking for.
Here's to lighter days, warmer weather, fresh beginnings and making a little more space for what feels nourishing.
With love,
